To understand Microsoft Project 2019 Professional, it is important to know where it fits in with the Project 2019 family.

This particular family is an on-premises, perpetual license family.

A perpetual license is where you pay once for the license and you can use the software for as long as you wish. It is sometimes called a lifetime license. In other words, the license is not a subscription license, where you have to pay monthly or annually to continue to use the software.

The three family members are Project Standard, Project Professional and Project Server. Project Standard is a standalone program. Project Professional works with Project Server to provide more advanced functions and collaborative features.

The Project 2019 Professional that we sell is the Extended Edition. This allows the user of the software to have the software installed on two computers as long as at least one of those computers is a laptop and as long as he or she is the primary user of both computers. For example, he or she could have it installed on a desktop at work and on a laptop for visiting clients.

A Project Server CAL 2019 is required for each user or device accessing Project Server 2019.

Project Professional 2019 is designed to work with Project Server. This allows you to easily collaborate with others on projects. It comes with a Project Server 2019 CAL.

Project Standard 2019 enables you to keep projects organized and on track. It is designed as standalone product. It cannot connect to Project Server 2019. It therefore does not come with a Project Server 2019 CAL.

Project 2019 Professional provides the flexible features that help you plan projects, track status and collaborate with others from pretty much anywhere. It consolidates all your potential project resources in a single view. You also get real-time communications and instant messaging enabled right within your project plan via Skype for Business.

2. Works with Microsoft Office It is a Microsoft Office Project which means it will work with other Microsoft Office programs such as the Microsoft Excel. This is useful if you want to work things out in Excel first and then export your work into Project, for example.

Well, with this Project 2019, Microsoft keep your product key (which you need to activate the software) secure for you so that if you ever lose it, you can get it back again from their secure website. Of if you lose the software, you can always download it again from the Microsoft secure website.
