Our approach
Because there are so many licenses from so many manufactures, and because they offer so many versions (such as academic, per user, per processor), we do not list them on this site.
So instead of listing licenses, we give to you our philosophy on licenses.
??We will endeavour to give you a better price for your licenses than your supplier. We have a success rate of about 60 to 70 percent.
??Where it is possible, we will endeavour to provide you with licenses on any software.
??If we are asked to provide a quote for a particular product, and we know there is a cheaper alternative we will give that as well so that you can make a fully-informed decision.
??We recognise that many resellers do not understand the intricacies and paradoxes of licensing agreements and sometimes sell software in a way that violates them. For example, the only legal way of selling an OEM version of Microsoft Office 2003 to the end user is with a new PC. To sell it in any other way is illegal. Yet some do. So that you can make an informed choice, we explain in our quotations any paradoxes or licensing boundaries.
??We also realise that we do not know everything about licensing. If you ask us a question and we do not know the answer, we will say so. We will then contact the manufacturer and find out. So what if it takes time? We feel that it is better to advice on the bedrock of facts than on the qucksand of opinions.
??We have many sources of information. Take Microsoft for example. We have product information in documents and from Microsoft emails. We also have information on Microsoft products from their many websites, some of which the public can access, some of which they can't. Furthermore, for those scenarios where the product information available isn't up to the mark, we contact Microsoft's UK Licensing Team to find out or get confirmation. ??We know that many companies selling software and licenses confuse customers with jargon and technical terminology. The purpose of our quotes is to deliver a service by giving you information that is useful, not overwhelming. So we prefer plain English to jargon. But if we can't avoid jargon, we will explain them.
