Microsoft offers educational discounts on a vast range of Microsoft software to eligible organisations.
These discounts can be very attractive.
Eligible organisations include educational organisations (such as public schools, private schools, colleges, universities, prison education centres, teaching hospitals, medical training schools, etc.), Department for Education, Local Education Authorities, public libraries, public museums, public research establishments, trade unions, associations, charities, churches, not-for-profit and community-based organisations.
However, whether individuals (such as students, lecturers and teachers) are eligible depends upon the product. There is more on this below.
More information on organisation eligibility
This Microsoft web page tells you the organisations that qualify for educational discounts: Who Can Buy Education Licences?
The most important part is the section Who can buy Education Licenses, especially the table Qualified Educational Users.
So if your organisation is mentioned in that table in one form or another, you are eligible for discounts on most of Microsoft's vast range of software.
More information on individual eligibility
If you are looking to get Microsoft software for yourself as an individual (for example, as a student, lecturer, or teacher), you will find that you are eligible for discounts only on a select range of products. Please contact us to discuss.
