There are two versions of the Hitachi Cambridge Interactive Whiteboard. The 60" board is ?995.00 plus VAT. The 77" board is ?1,125.00 plus VAT.

The Cambridge Interactive Whiteboard comes with a unit accessory pack that includes: 1 x 100-240V AC power supply, 1 x power cord for EU and UK market, 1 x RS232 serial cable, 1 x USB cable, 1 x pen tray, 1 x AAA Battery, 1 x dry erase cleaner, 1 x driver software for Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP, and 1 x Cambridge Board Suite software.

Overview

Most interactive whiteboards on the market (such as the Smart Board - it writes in "digital ink") cannot be used as a whiteboard. With these products you need both the interactive whiteboard and a conventional whiteboard.

This can make for a cumbersome arrangement and unnecessary disruptions as the teacher moves back and forth between the interactive whiteboard and the conventional whiteboard. It can also mean additionally expenditure, both in money and space.

The Cambridge Interactive Whiteboards are different. They can be used as an actual whiteboard. You can write on them with normal dry marker pens. Having a Cambridge Board does away with the need for an additional whiteboard. This improves the flow of lessons, saves money and saves on space.
