Overview

Using the same technology found in SMART Boards, you can write, erase and perform mouse functions with your finger or with a pen. This makes it a favourate with young children as they like writing on the Ruby Touch Sensitive Interactive Whiteboard with their fingers.

However, although the Ruby Touch Sensitive Interactive Whiteboard is robust, fast, and comes with a comprehensive software suite, it lacks one thing that SMART Boards have. It does not have the SMART Notebook. The SMART Notebook is a presentation software programme, similar to Microsoft PowerPoint but not as powerful. Some prefer the SMART Notebook, some prefer to use PowerPoint. Still more do not use either - the software suite that comes with the Ruby Interactive Whiteboard is more than sufficient for their daily needs. It is easy to use and flexible (see picture on the right). (Incidentally, if you prefer PowerPoint, and you are a school or charity, we can provide it at a discounted price.) The Ruby software suite is also comprehensive. It will allow you to access your computer programs (such as Internet Explorer), pre-save your work (such as displaying a question and, at your command, presenting the answer), and save your work for later editing or for printing off for distribution to your students.

Using modern technology means the power consumption of the Ruby Touch Sensitive Interactive Whiteboard is very low at less than 1.5 watts, saving you money and benefitting the environment.

Options

Mobile Stand The Ruby Interactive Whiteboard comes with everything you need to install it onto a wall. However, you may prefer a more mobile Ruby Interactive Whiteboard. The optional Mobile Stand is the answer as it allows you to move the Ruby Interactive Whiteboard from one room to another. The price for the stand is ?165 plus VAT.

Dry Marker Pen Surface Normally, you cannot use dry marker pens on an interactive whiteboard. However, with this special surface on your Ruby Interactive Whiteboard, you can. Having this surface on your Ruby Interactive Whiteboard does away with the need for an additional dry marker whiteboard. This improves the flow of lessons, saves money and saves on space. The price for the Dry Marker Pen Surface is ?85 plus VAT.
