A rapid overview of Publisher 2013
You will find replacing and switching images is far easier than in previous versions.
In previous versions, Publisher would dump new images on the page. Publisher 2013 now puts new images you insert into the scratch area. You can then drag an image from the scratch area or elsewhere in the layout until it's over an existing image. A pink highlight then appears around the existing image. If you then let go the new image replaces the existing image.
There are also lots of new formatting options for images and text.
For example, the new 'photo printing' option that saves each page of your document as a JPEG. This is ideal if you want to use a photo book printing service to create an album as a keepsake using your own layout.
These and other new features help make Publisher a powerful DTP (DeskTop Publishing) package that is easy to use.
Why this Microsoft Publisher is such a good deal
